The Project

Classic literature, reborn as extreme metal

DOOMWRIGHT is a one-person project that takes the great books of the public domain — Gogol and Dostoevsky, Poe and Lovecraft, Goethe and Dante, the old epics — and reforges them as extreme metal.

Each album is built around a single work, carrying its central story, conflicts, and voices into blackened death, funeral doom, and atmospheric black metal — because the weight these books carry needs music that can carry it.

Not covers. Not soundtracks. A wheelwright makes wheels; a playwright makes plays. This is a workshop, and the trade is doom, patiently made.

The Maker

One maker, one vision

I come at this from two directions at once — the weight of extreme metal and the ruin at the bottom of the world's great books — and DOOMWRIGHT is the room where they meet. Every release is authored end to end by one hand: I choose each text, write each album, and build each concept before a single note exists.

I'm drawn to the books that descend — into guilt, faith, madness, death, and whatever waits beyond them.

The face is a mask. The work is the point.

The vision is singular, and the door is open to the right people. Labels, artists, and partners who hear something here are welcome to reach out.

The Method

The Hand on the Tool

The words are mine; the instrument is new. A press does not author the book. What the machine renders, a person chooses, cuts, shapes, and answers for.

Written and directed by DOOMWRIGHT; the music is realized with AI-assisted tools.
